Cities on most dangerous neighborhoods list include Flint, Chicago, Detroit and others

FLINT, MI -- Flint recently found its name on another list of the nation's worst.

This time, it was the list of themost dangerous neighborhoods in the nation. 

The neighborhood east of Dort Highway, between Lippincott Boulevard and Atherton Road was No. 19 on the list released by the group Neighborhood Scout.

The group doesn't release the specifics of its methodology, though it does claim in part to use data from the FBI's Unified Crime Report.

"We then researched and developed mathematical algorithms to statistically estimate the incidences of violent crimes for each neighborhood in America," according to the website. "The resultant formulae produce numbers of crimes and crime rates for neighborhoods with upwards of 90% accuracy in most cases."
